If your existing SchoolPoint service is reporting an error or red exclamation mark, FIRST thing to do is click the "Check and Enable" button in KAMAR (see below screenshot). This SHOULD fix the issue in most cases.

KAMAR Sync Warning in SchoolPoint

Go back into SchoolPoint and refresh your Home Screen and the warning should have resolved. This is also supported by being able to view the actively running sync on the KAMAR Sync Settings Page.

Active Sync Updates

If this does not fix the sync issues, then click the "Troubleshoot KAMAR Sync Issues" Button and follow the instructions accordingly.

Sync Setup in KAMAR

New and Existing SchoolPoint Schools will need to log into KAMAR and do the following:

Select "Setup"
Select "KAMAR".
Select "Server".
Select "Directory Services".
Set the HOST to:  sync.schoolpoint.co.nz.
Set Time out to 120 or 240 if larger school.
Username is your school MOE code
Ensure all checkboxes are checked.
Enter the generated password as above from SchoolPoint.
In the last section, tick the numbered boxes for each of your active schools in KAMAR.
Click the “Check and Enable” button.
Click the Send Full Update button.

Syncing can take around 15 minutes to complete, possibly longer with large queues at certain times of the year.

For New Schools:

Click "New Service"
Click "Create" on the Prompt.
Enter "SchoolPoint" for the Service name.
Refer to Step 2 below.

For Existing Schools: 

Click the "SchoolPoint" button on left.

Set the HOST to:  sync.schoolpoint.co.nz.
Set Time out to 120 or 240 if larger school.
Username is your school MOE code
Ensure all checkboxes are checked.
Enter any password you wish for the password.
In the last section, tick the numbered boxes for each of your active schools in KAMAR.
Click the “Check and Enable” button.
Click the Send Full Update button.
